A sterling silver ring, with a beautiful rose cut changing Opal. What I mean is that the Opal is not stabilized so it changes depending on environmental factors. Usually it seems sunlight and moisture are main causes. When I made this ring and photographed it, the stone was more of a white colour with a deep smoldering pink and a touch of greens and blues. However as I write this the stone is now gone translucent and is firing really vivid reds and greens, really quite different to how it was a hour ago. Personally I love a changing stone, but please be aware if you are thinking of buying this ring, the stone changes.
The silver is oxidised to give it that dark look.
